Adjuster Licensing Options and Issues
|
Are you searching for information to secure your state adjuster's license? Here is an excellent link at www.catadjuster.org for state licensing information. Just go to the top right hand corner to the DOI website and search by state!
http://www.catadjuster.org/Default.aspx?grm2catid=37&tabid=62
You will also find very useful detailed Forums on this site( www.catadjuster.org) about all kinds of "Getting Started" Topics in the Forum archives there if you look for the GETTING STARTED topics.
There are so many options available for securing your license such as self study, Adjuster training schools, and now some states have online courses even that allow you to be exempt from the State exams. A word of caution here is to be sure through your state Insurance Dept about reciprocal agreements. For instance, FL does not honor the TX license as reciprocal if you are a FL resident- you must still take the FL exam. An outstanding online program I just recently learned of is from the following email distributed by the University of Central Fl which allows you to take this course AND exempts you from the state exam. I had not been aware other than the ACA (Accredited Claim Adjuster) courses that you could be exempt from the state test. Again, I cannot stress enough that you call your state Insurance Department to be sure before spending hard earned funds on a licensing class that it will meet your state requirements!
Here's the body of the email:
