Networking for a job means "talking to people"
|
Talk to everyone you know first - fellow students, former teachers, family members, friends, former workers at the places that you have done internships. Ask them for NAMES and LEADS of people you can talk to - DO NOT ASK FOR THEIR HELP TO FIND YOU A JOB. That is your job.
Question: I have had quite a few phone interviews, they were pretty much the standard questions...Why did you leave your last job? Where are you now in your job search? Are you interviewing with other companies? Tell me more about your last position, what did you like/ dislike about it? Why do you want to work here? What have you done to research our company?
Answer: They just want to get a feel about who you are and if you will be a good fit, if it is a successful phone interview then they will ask you to come in, and that’s when the fun begins!
