Lying in Your Resume Can Become Costly

For jobseekers who think that lying in their resumes is perfectly acceptable, as long as they don't get caught, might want to reconsider. Washington spearheaded a bill that makes lying in a resume a crime; one punishable by a hefty $1,000 fine.
Inflating a resume, whether claiming a false degree or beefing up your skill set, is getting more attention as companies battle an ever-growing population of jobseekers who try to cheat the hiring process.
