Staying Close to Other Adjusters
|
When you get deployed to work a storm event, it is important to try to stay in the same area or hotel as other adjusters and your field support manager.
The field support managers are put into place to help you…remember that. They will have extra supplies that you may need, and can be there ready to help you with questions you might have about a loss you inspected, or if you have any program problems. They won’t write your estimates for you but can certainly help you put them together and tweak them if necessary.
Being around other adjusters has a calming effect on your mind because you know that you’re not totally alone out there. Often there will be adjusters staying at the same hotel you are, that may not even work for the same company as you do, but that’s OK. Adjusters all have a connection with each other…we all go through many of the very same issues. Because of this, you will find that if some problem does arise (car/truck problems) you will have someone who can relate and most times will try to help.
